Kendrick was nominated for the Album of the Year Grammy for “To Pimp a Butterfly” but lost out to Taylor Swift’s 1989. He did however take home prizes including Best Rap Album for the record, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for Alright.

The artist was recently in Jamaica for a few days vacationing and meeting up with his “Blacker The Berry” collaborator Assassin.

He visited spots in Kingston including the Bob Marley Museum, Usain Bolt Tracks and Records. Kendrick Lamar also visited Usain Bolt during his training session at the UWI Bowl.
